Summary: Clean, disinfect and sterilize medical equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Clean, disinfect and maintains equipment in a timely manner.
• Follow all infection control procedures outlined in HME Specialists' Policy CDS-016, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling contaminated or potentially contaminated equipment and/or supplies.
• Follow all disinfectant/sterilizing agent manufacturers' use instructions and safety precautions.
• Keep cleaning area free from contamination and in compliance with infection control policies and/or procedures.
• Ensure equipment is properly marked, covered and segregated in appropriate areas.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance between customer use. Perform scheduled maintenance per manufactures specifications and documents maintenance when required by manufacturer.
• Perform functional checks on cleaned equipment.
• Compliance with HME Specialists Policies and Procedures.
• Support the HME Specialists' Mission Statement, vision and values.
• Participate in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities.
• Maintain and sterilize equipment.
• Complete required annual and monthly on-line Courses.
• Participate in traditional and e-learning programs.
• Follow proper building closing procedures.
• Perform other duties or special projects when necessary.
• Support the HME Specialists' Mission Statement, vision and values.
• Adheres to HME Specialists culture and behavior standards.
