Processing Equipment Operations Supervisor jobs in Duluth, MN

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators. The primary function of this position is to operate multiple pieces of large mining equipment associated with the production of taconite pellets in a self-directed work environment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, end-dump trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, and graders.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple pieces of heavy mining equipment in a self-directed work environment.
• Be able to take direction to execute the daily, weekly, and monthly mine plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be flexible with work assignments; will assist other departments as needed and required.
• Must have an exceptional work ethic, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a self-directed team environment.
• Demonstrated safe working practices and excellent safety record.
• Must be willing to work full-time, rotating shifts.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-year post-secondary degree or 4-year post-secondary degree; OR 4-years full-time military; OR 2 years of related full-time work experience.
• 2-year post-secondary degree in Mining Industrial Technology or Heavy Equipment Operations & Maintenance is preferred.
• Work experience in an industrial environment.
• Recent heavy equipment operating experience.
• Excellent attendance record.

Successful candidates will need to pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen; background check, and other pre-employment testing.
