We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Field Technician to join our team at each of the following locations:

Asheville, NC

Greensboro, NC

Raleigh, NC

Richmond, VA

Northern VA (Manassas area)

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for material processing equipment at customer sites. The position requires overnight stays as you will be traveling extensively to various locations to address equipment issues, perform repairs, and conduct routine maintenance. As a Mobile Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our clients' material processing equipment, thereby contributing to their overall productivity.

As a MPS Mobile Field Technician, your typical responsibilities will include:

• Travel to customer sites to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material processing equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, and related machinery.
• Conduct equipment inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities, including lubrication, adjustments, and calibration, to optimize equipment performance and extend its lifespan.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their operational requirements and provide technical recommendations and solutions.
• Train customer personnel on the safe operation and maintenance of equipment, ensuring they have a clear understanding of proper procedures.
• Keep accurate records of service visits, equipment maintenance, and repairs performed.
• Communicate effectively with the internal team, including service managers, engineers, and other technicians, to share knowledge and escalate complex issues.
• Stay up to date with technological advancements and industry best practices through continuous learning and professional development.

Current Job Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or relevant certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required.
• Proven experience as a field technician or in a similar role, preferably working with material processing equipment or heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and basic understanding of industrial automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to travel extensively and work independently in various locations, including overnight stays.

Physical Requirements Include:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor conditions.
