    Job Summary/Basic Function
    The Director of Equipment Operations manages the Athletics Equipment Room and Laundry Facility and is responsible for the overall equipment operation for 16 NCAA Division I varsity sports. In addition, this position is responsible, but not limited to, the oversight of all operations in the equipment room, issuance and maintenance of all athletic equipment and apparel for student-athletes, maintaining and storing equipment, budget management and oversight of student workers. The Director of Equipment Operations will oversee equipment and uniform purchases, negotiate and maintain contact with vendors; dispense, receive and inventory equipment as received, laundry as required, schedule equipment room hours, and supervise work-study and student workers. This position works under the general supervision of the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.

    Required Qualifications
    Required:
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • AEMA certification eligible
    • 3 years of experience working with an NCAA Institution

    Preferred Qualifications
    Seeking applicants with the following skills and abilities:
    • Ability to communicate well with direct reports, program staff members, sport coaches and student-athletes.
    • Demonstrate budgetary experience, including fiscal integrity with respect to budgets.
    • Demonstrate commitment to working in diverse environment with a wide variety of people.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and maintain competency of NCAA rules and regulations as it applies to their duties.
    • Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
    • Demonstrate supervisory experience and have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and be a positive member of a team.
    • Extremely well organized and highly motivated with strong interpersonal, communication skills.
    • Must have a thorough knowledge of the principles of inventory control/accountability, purchasing/receiving and maintenance of equipment.
    • Experience at a Division 1 institution in the equipment room preferred.
