Processing Equipment Operations Supervisor supervises employees who operate assigned stations along a processing line. Responsible for monitoring processes and identifying and correcting any error as it occurs throughout the processing procedure. Being a Processing Equipment Operations Supervisor ensures adherence to all specified procedures and regulations. Typically requires an associate degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Processing Equipment Operations Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Position Summary

Working closely with the CSD Director and Manager, the CSD Supervisor manages the CSD workflow and CSD Technicians. This position is responsible for planning the day to day and future needs of this population.

The CSD Supervisor collaborates closely with Operating Room, Materials Management, and other hospital departments to meet the needs of the Central Services Department.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
-
1. Education: High School education preferred. Associate Degree preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Requires CSD Technician Certification.
3. Experience: Prior leadership experience at a progressive level of 2–5 yrs. required.
4. Interpersonal skills are necessary for effective leadership of assigned personnel and in order to collaborate with a variety of personnel throughout the hospital to meet the needs of the department.
5. Highly independent functioning with the analytical ability to prepare work schedules, prioritize work assignments, maintain a variety of records and assist in the development of department policies, procedures, budgets.
6. High level of problem-solving and decision-making skills.
7. Ability to utilize department and hospital wide computer software programs.
8. Must be able to rotate off shifts for supervision of off shift staff at intervals.
