The Credit Analyst supports their local market by providing portfolio management overview, underwriting analysis and recommendations to the loan committees. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes borrower’s production and financial information into a recommendation for loan committee review
- Ensures all new and existing loans are fully compliant and fall within the Company’s Loan Policy guidelines
- Acts as the first line of defense in managing reconciliations, identifying crop mix changes and out of compliance issues
- Provides analytical review for any loan amendments or modifications
- Oversees the coordination of crop insurance inspections and account reconciliations
- Performs root cause analyses and assists in collections efforts of past-due loans
- Attends company meetings, conference calls and training(s) as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements
- Preferred Degree in banking, finance, accounting, statistics, or economics-related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a banking or finance-related field
- Experience in commercial credit underwriting / analysis
- Completion of a credit training program preferred
- Experience in agriculture a plus
- Superior Skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
- Strong written and communication skills
- Attention to detail a must
- Motivated, self-starter with ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- May be required to travel on occasion
