Product/Brand Management Director manages, develops, and oversees the implementation of marketing activities to maximize sales of a brand. Analyzes brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops marketing strategies for a brand. Being a Product/Brand Management Director reviews marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness and value of marketing strategies or campaigns. Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies effective sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Director translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns. Ensures product and brand initiatives are consistent and support the organization's public image. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product/Brand Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Product/Brand Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Overview

    This position is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The successful candidate will plan and designate project resources, prepare roadmaps, drive progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way, while taking ownership and responsibility for the outcome of the project.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive project start to finish new projects related to the IT team and internal customers
    • Determine and define project scope and objectives
    • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
    • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
    • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
    • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
    • Manage communication with appropriate departments including awareness of enhancements/changes to ensure projects harmonize with IT and that they meet the applicable department's needs
    • Schedule and support necessary and appropriate meetings as the liaison between stakeholders and developers
    • Prepare, track, and deliver updates regarding timelines, progress, questions, etc
    • Collaborate with teams to acquire a high degree of knowledge and ownership of the different processes, projects and intersections of work and scope
    • Arrange any necessary training for products, processes, and/or updates based on completed projects
    • Coordinate the creation of necessary documentation for existing product bug fixes, new processes, and manage Jira issues
    • Create, organize, and maintain the necessary documentation for projects - may include flow charts, Gantt charts, outlines, project scope, etc.
    • Work directly with developers to explain, design, and develop product updates, enhancements, and new products
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and support for program objectives

    Requirements:
    • Ability to manage several different projects at different stages with ease and little mistakes
    • High emotional intelligence to be able to work in stressful situations with top priority outcomes
    • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally with all levels of the organization, cross-departmental and with unique or different communication styles
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google products and virtual meeting platforms
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • A proven track record of reliability, accuracy and meeting with deadlines
    • Persuasive and inclusive ability to bring together and mediate teams with opposing goals or desired outcomes

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
    • 5-8 years of IT project management or relevant project management experience
    • 5-10 years working in an IT department in any role
