Product/Brand Management Director manages, develops, and oversees the implementation of marketing activities to maximize sales of a brand. Analyzes brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops marketing strategies for a brand. Being a Product/Brand Management Director reviews marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness and value of marketing strategies or campaigns. Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies effective sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Director translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns. Ensures product and brand initiatives are consistent and support the organization's public image. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product/Brand Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Product/Brand Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Short’s Travel Management, a leading provider of NCAA Athletic travel for collegiate athletics is looking to grow our services as we begin providing our client fan bases with customized travel services so they can enjoy watching their favorite teams in person!  To achieve this, we have an immediate opening for an Executive Director of Fan Travel. This position may be remote. 



    What you can expect in this role: As Executive Director, STM Fan Travel, you will be responsible for frontline guidance and modeling of this service area that ensures efficient service delivery and meets productivity targets.  


    Essential Functions:

    • Serves as a visionary responsible for Fan Travel performance which includes product and service offerings, financial performance and strategic planning. Develops and manages all operational units to approved budgets. Oversees the regular reporting and variance explanation of key operation metrics, including service delivery results benchmarked against standards and productivity results benchmarked against targets. 
    • Establishes and actively maintains a well functioning and productive team environment exemplified by high morale, strong communication, and clear understanding of individual and unit accountabilities. Is assessable and serves as a mentor and coach to help direct reports reach their highest potential. Fosters a work environment that attracts and retains high quality employees.
    • Oversees key activity volumes and projected volumes to manage current and anticipated staffing levels within all units. Monitors and manages staff performance using a variety of methods to achieve service and productivity goals at all levels, and takes corrective action when necessary. May manage any combination of lead agents, supervisors, and operations managers. 
    • Manages and promotes company preferred vendor programs to maximum financial potential. Assists in the development of travel agent incentive programs that drive high performance. Establishes best practice standards for monitoring, addressing, and approving agent errors and debit memos.
    • Responsible for understanding proprietary and vendor systems within Short’s Travel and across client accounts. Actively recommends and oversees the creation, revision, and execution of procedures and the application of technologies that are aligned with company strategies and targeted key performance metrics. 
    • Serves as a key operations contact to Executive Leadership Team. 
    • We are a team at Short’s Travel Management and as such, you may be expected to assist in other departments or handle tasks outside of your typical position scope for the benefit of our clients or company.

    Requirements

      

    Technical Skills:

    · Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel including pivot tables, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

    · Experience with Salesforce.

    · GDS, internet and portal knowledge (understanding of web capabilities) preferred.

    · Working knowledge of integral relationship between the GDS, mid office and back office systems.

    · Working knowledge of telecommunication devices and network capabilities (voicemail, ACD systems, etc.).


    Qualifications:

    · BS or BA degree, equivalent educational degree or equivalent experience required.

    · Minimum 7 years of Travel Management experience or equivalent required; call center management and/or travel industry background a plus.

    · Proven aptitude for technology and/or software solutions and analytical skills required.

    · Flexibility to travel as needed.
