As Risk Management Manager, you will be an integral component of this 120 bed hospital that prides itself in providing innovative and state of the art patient care. Supported by an experienced risk management team, the Risk Management Manager will have the support to meet and exceed the goals of the department. The Risk Management Manager will report to the Chief Quality Officer to keep them informed and will collaborate with them on unit initiatives.  

The Risk Manager will be accountable for overseeing administrative operations, ensuring that your staff and department are operating efficiently, and coordinating the risk management program to meet the needs of the facility. The Risk Manager will be a proactive leader with 4-8 years of Risk Management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management program in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and analysis to identify potential areas of vulnerability within the hospital's operations.
• Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies and quality improvement initiatives.
• Investigate adverse events, incidents, and claims, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and insurance providers to manage claims and litigation processes.
• Provide education and training to staff on risk management principles, patient safety practices, and reporting protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management initiatives and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies on matters related to risk management and patient safety.
