Additionally, Product Design Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Product Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Product Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About the role:

    The Director of Product Design will be at the forefront of our product development efforts, leading our design team to create intuitive, engaging, consistent and visually compelling user experiences. This role requires a visionary leader who combines creative design skills with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to drive innovation within a SaaS platform.

    The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, team leadership, and hands-on design expertise to guide the product design strategy from conception to launch.

    Essential Functions

    • Create and lead the practice of product design and its path to maturity. Integrate design processes into both Product and Engineering operations that demonstrate the value of its corresponding functions, including research, content strategy, information architecture, interaction design, user interfaces, and visual design.
    • Establish systems and frameworks for the design of product experiences that reduce internal costs and promote standards for user interactions and a cohesive design language.
    • Create and lead the practice of user research and its path to maturity. Establish and maintain the operations for continuous engagement with users, including participant recruiting and scheduling, integrating the right-sized qualitative and quantitative research methodologies into product development, synthesizing, and sharing user behaviors and sentiments as it relates to their experience with Listrak's products and services, as well as partnering with Product Management in early discovery to surface mental models and unmet needs that influence the roadmap.
    • Oversee all aspects of the operations of design and user research, including its structure, team composition, definition of roles, cadence of meetings, hiring and onboarding, career development, guiding principles, processes and playbooks, tools, management of assets, estimation of scope, prioritization of initiatives, and distribution of skills.
    • Surface and monitor indicators to successful user adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction of new and existing product features through quantitative behavioral and attitudinal measurements. Correlate these measurements to business goals.

    You have:

    • 8 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX/UI design for SaaS or similar digital products.
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in design, HCI, or a related field is preferred.
    • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a design team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
    • Excellent understanding of design principles, user experience, user interface, and interaction design.
    • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with prototyping tools.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a talent for building consensus and driving cross-functional initiatives.
