Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Permanent Director of Salesforce Product Development to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce products to drive our business forward. You will work closely with stakeholders, manage a team of developers, and oversee the entire product development lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Salesforce, Mulesoft, and Visual Studio to make a significant impact on our company's technological growth and innovation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce products and solutions to meet business needs.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
    • Manage a team of Salesforce developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure high-quality product development.
    • Oversee the full product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to delivery and ongoing support.
    • Develop and implement best practices for Salesforce product development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
    • Leverage Mulesoft to design and build integration architectures, API interfaces, and data flows.
    • Use Visual Studio to develop, test, and debug Salesforce applications.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features, technologies, and best practices, and drive their adoption within the team.
    • Manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure the successful delivery of Salesforce products.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Salesforce product development, including designing, building, and implementing Salesforce applications.
    • Strong experience with Mulesoft and Visual Studio.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of leading successful product development teams.
    • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
    • Salesforce Developer Certification is preferred.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and on budget.
    • A passion for technology and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and innovations.
