Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Head Start has an opening for a non-exempt full-time Site Director working 35 hours a week year-round. The Site Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned Head Start Center, exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as delegated, including procedures and staff supervision. Under general supervision, the Site Director operates the Head Start program in conformance with the ACF Head Start Program Performance Standards, State Child Care Licensing, and LHDC Policies and Procedures.  

    Requirements

    Must be a graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Management, Human Resources or correlated discipline; Associate Degree in a related field will be considered if willing to further education. Supervisory experience required. Proficient in computer systems and functions, including Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Internet, and email usage. 


    Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical, and complete an annual T.B. test.
