Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Position prefers at least three years of experience Service Director maintenance or equivalent field. For safety reasons, the position requires the ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
Equipment Requirement: Required to wear back support belt, goggles when working with specific equipment, masks and gloves and other safety equipment as tasks dictate.
Licenses: EPA certification Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling and Certified Pool Operator certification must be obtained within 9 months of hire.
Equipment/Machinery and Tools: An associate in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of the following tools:
Mechanical Equipment: Motors, pumps, refrigerant recovery equipment, compressors, blowers, electric and hand powered augers, etc.
Measuring Devises: Calipers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, testing meters, PH tests, gauges, etc.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on specific needs of the day. Estimate 66% to 100% of the time.
