Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Electrical Engineer - Product Development

  • Position Summary

    Due to continued growth, we are seeking talented Electrical Engineers for the design of custom electronic control boards for HVAC, Power Electronics and Thermal Control applications. This position plays a critical role in developing our next generation of products related to thermal control and energy conversion. Successful candidates will provide innovative engineering in the design and layout of PCBs, programming of microcontrollers, and design/implementation of analog circuitry and testing.

    Specific Duties and Competencies:

    • Develop electronic control equipment for thermal control and energy conversion equipment
    • Design, layout (Altium), fabricate, and test printed circuit boards and program controllers for a wide array of equipment
    • Develop all electronics from the PCB to the mechanical equipment (starting circuits, capacitors, wire harnesses, etc.)
    • Design lab test instrumentation for concept evaluation
    • Use tools such as Labview, C/C , LTSPICE, and MATLAB to aid in modeling, verification and validation

    Position Requirements

    • BS in electrical engineering required with a minimum GPA of 3.3
    • Prior experience as a technician is a plus
    • Experience programming various microcontrollers and interfacing to peripherals
    • Experience with common microcontroller communication protocols
    • Knowledge of electronic components and power supplies including how to vet them for various applications
    • Proficient in schematics and layouts
    • Knowledge of CAD software desired
    • United States Citizenship required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions
