Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Mid-Columbia Economic Development District Seeks Deputy Director of Economic Development
Regional economic development organization in the Columbia River Gorge is seeking a Deputy Director of Economic Development. This individual manages MCEDD’s economic development division including several direct reports. The individual also works with staff and partners to support community economic development project strategy and implementation, and provides strategic leadership for MCEDD’s work in close partnership with the Executive Director.
The successful candidate will possess: Broad-based and detailed knowledge of community and economic development principles and practices; Working knowledge of project management, budgeting practices, strategic planning and employee development and supervision; Strong relationship building skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficiency in handling a multitude of varied projects without much guidance; Working knowledge of rules and regulations governing local government, state and federal/community development programs; Experience with the grant process from application development to implementation; Experience with and desire for management of staff; and a positive “can do” attitude, especially to provide superb customer service.
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, planning or economic development, or related field plus five years of progressively responsible supervisory or managerial service, preferably within an economic development setting, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above duties. This position will be dependent on passing a background check.
