Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Purpose of Position / Propósito del puesto:
    As the Director of Development, you will play a critical role in advancing KBI's mission to promote border and migration policies that affirm the dignity of the human person and the accompaniment of migrants in a spirit of bi-national solidarity. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with major donors, managing grant applications, and reporting, and overseeing development-related events and marketing projects with a goal of raising over $2M annually. Additionally, you will provide strong leadership and management while effectively communicating the connection between KBI's work and the Catholic Church's teachings. / Como Director de Desarrollo, desempeñarás un papel fundamental en el avance de la misión de KBI de promover políticas fronterizas y migratorias que afirmen la dignidad de la persona humana y el acompañamiento de los migrantes en un espíritu de solidaridad binacional.     Duties and Responsibilities/Deberes y responsabilidades:

    a) Work closely with the Executive Director and Board to strategically deploy their time and resources in donor cultivation efforts.
    b) Build personal relationships with major donors and develop strategies to engage and cultivate their support.

    a) Oversee approximately 3 complex large foundation grants per year, as well as 8-10 simple applications and reports.

    c) Proactively identify new funding opportunities and develop compelling proposals aligned with KBI's programs and initiatives.

    a) Lead development-related projects and events, including the annual report, direct mail appeals, annual fundraising dinner, and other initiatives.
    b) Collaborate with communications staff and contract marketing firm to draft content and coordinate graphic design resources.
    c) Provide project management expertise to ensure timely execution and successful completion of marketing campaigns.

    Compensation
    The expected salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include: employer-paid health insurance, employer matching contributions to a 403(b) retirement plan, 2 weeks paid vacation, 13 days of annual sick leave (which can also be used toward family leave), many Federal and Catholic holidays, and six weeks paid new child leave / El rango de salario anual es de 75,000 a 85,000 dólares, dependiendo en experiencia.
