Product Development Manager manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Being a Product Development Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Product Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Description
    The contractor shall support WCS Collaboration Leadership as follows:
    • Possess organizational, presentations, and customer service skills.
    • Navigate challenging situations and ability to articulate orally and in writing.
    • Attend meetings with WCS Service Element teams to be made aware of new services or changes/modifications to existing services for formulation of agency and targeted communications.
    • Collaborate with the WCS Communications team to identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that will improve the customer experience.
    • Display excellent time and resource management skills, anticipating fluctuations in workload and taking proactive steps to minimize impact to schedules and deadlines.
    • Provide strategic, tactical, and executive communications in support of WCS in collaboration with the NEST/AEGIS/EAST2/eMITS contractor communications teams and the Customer Engagement Office.
    • Meet internal and external customer service requirements.
    • Coordinate with other WCS personnel to ensure continuity of operations and organizational support.
    • Transform WCS Services in alignment with the Transformation designs and plan while minimizing the disruption to Center and Enterprise services.
    • Identify relevant communications opportunities.
    • Develop and implement communication plans.
    • Ensure initiatives and projects are clearly communicated to key stakeholders across the agency.
    • Managing and updating content across platforms (website, email) and social media channels as needed.
    • Supporting the team in enhancing their communication skills by helping to write/edit blogs and publications and by providing feedback and guidance.
    • Create engaging content across a range of communications platforms, including social media, email, newsletters, articles, graphics, and videos – ensuring an effective communication means to reach the intended audience, including hard to reach groups.
    • Continually review and develop a communication strategy plan that actively supports WCS’s strategic and operational goals.
