SUMMARY
The Assistant Product Development Manager is a part of the Marketing Department and reports to the Product Development Manager. This position supports the product development life cycle of all Indoor tanning products for the brands Australian Gold, California Tan, Designer Skin, JWOWW and Swedish Beauty. The Assistant Product Development Manager helps with developing and marketing the organization's products for the Indoor tanning industry by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties as assigned.
After training period is complete, the Assistant Product Development Manager will support the full life cycle of the product development process, including organization of projects, and managing partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure that they keep to project deadlines, launch dates, etc. for all New Sunshine Indoor brands.
Assists the Product Development Manager in product design concept, lotion formulation, product name choice, and writing/editing of label copy of each product.
Develops a vast understanding of all New Sunshine brand products and uses that knowledge to educate and train sales teams and customers.
Request cosmetic and component samples for new products from partnering vendors.
Responsible for keeping the Product Development Manager up to date with all project information, timelines, etc.
May work with Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and PR team to ensure the successful launch of the JWOWW tanning brand products, schedule appearance travel, and more.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure the product message is consistent and conveyed through social media and marketing collateral.
Identifies and requests the production of promotional and collateral materials with assistance from the Product Development Manager, when required by customer.
Stays abreast of market trends in the Indoor tanning industry, beauty industry, etc. and works with Product Manager to adjust marketing strategy to meet trends.
Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners, as assigned by Product Manager.
Assists with developing and execution of comprehensive marketing plans, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of customer, as needed.
Thrives and quickly adapts in a fast-paced environment where customer requirements may frequently change.
Works with confidential material daily and always maintains confidentiality.
Compiles and produces sales and marketing reports. Generates follow up reports from team meetings and special projects.
Coordinates marketing/branding functions such as trips, trade shows, council meetings, etc.
Maintains various department documents.
Travels, as needed to marketing/branding functions.
Showcases strong public speaking and presentation skills.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, relationship building skills.
This position is responsible for following all documented cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions, and Policies designed to support the development, implementation, and control of the ISO 22716:2007 standard.
