Product Development Manager manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Being a Product Development Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Product Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Product Development Engineer


    The primary function of the Product Development Engineer is to design and develop product.  The job will encompass taking a product from concept through production handoff.  This includes proving out designs & tracking/documenting accurate information as well as communicating with both internal and external customers.
    At the senior level our engineers manage the technical aspects of a product line, as well as lead and mentor the other members of the product team.


    We utilize 3-D CAD, combined with experience and aptitude, to generate maximum value for our customers. Occasional travel may be required.  Mechanical skill & sewing knowledge are a plus but we are willing to invest in the development of team members with drive.  This is a full time position w/benefits.

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent math and computer skills, experience with 3D CAD/Solidworks (or similar) software required.
    • Must possess ability to use basic measuring and hand tools
    • Mechatronics/Robotics/Automation knowledge a plus.
