Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. About the role:
In this Software Delivery Manager role based in our Christchurch office you will be involved in “hands on” management. You’ll plan and manage application development and client delivery activities that range from small and simple software tasks to components of large and complex Cloud software applications.
About the team:
Our team develops and delivers Treasury and Risk Management solution software to major financial, banking and global brand clients.
What you will be doing:
Managing teams that are designing and developing applications while involved with the full software development lifecycle.
Managing a team of up to 20 with responsibility for hiring, development, performance appraisals and performance management
Identifying and allocating technical resources and forecasting resource needs.
What you will need:
You may have 2-3 years' team management experience and be seeking your next challenging step in your management career. You will also have:
Experience with leading and delivering significant software projects
Proven exposure to working with cloud enabled products
Previous experience working within a global, corporate environment
The ability to lead a medium-large sized team effectively under pressure
Experience interacting with executive level clients.
A bachelor’s in computer science or the equivalent experience.
