StreamLabs, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chubb Group, offers Internet of Things (IoT) enabled water monitoring, leak detection and water shut-off devices and systems. StreamLabs products, which use patented and proprietary ultrasonic technology, help individuals, families and businesses predict and prevent costly property damage before it occurs. Products are sold through contractors and plumbers in construction, repair, and remodeling, ecommerce sites and insurance companies and agencies.
StreamLabs is at a critical stage in their evolution, with a strong set of products and initial sales in B2C and B2B markets. Senior leadership is focused on driving significant revenue growth, with an emphasis on clearly identifying the 2-3 industry verticals where an investment in business development, sales and marketing is most likely to produce significant revenue quickly.
Job Description
In this paid externship assignment, a student externship team of four (4) students will work with StreamLabs under the guidance of experienced faculty consultants to conduct targeted research, including review of existing customer data, conduct secondary research and interview staff and clients/prospects to identify 2-3 industry verticals and critical leverage points where investment in outbound sales and marketing resources has the greatest probability to accelerate sales quickly. The goal is to recommend a prioritized list of focus areas and initiatives to the company's management.
