A Day in the Life of a AVEVA Select California Product Specialist

Product Specialists at AVEVA Select California are THE Automation Software Experts! They are the technical experts for an energetic and aggressive team of technical sales people. Not only will you help architect world class automation and data solutions using AVEVA software, but you will also stretch your knowledge and experience in networking, virtualization, security, servers/PCs, and IOT concepts.

What will be expected of you? You will:

• Travel with the sales team for presentations, technical discussions, and customer needs discovery. Face to face interaction is key to understanding the customer’s technical and business needs.
Drive to multiple meetings in a single day is expected. Responsiveness is core to our culture - our customers demand it
• - you must have the personality of wanting to help the customer Now.
• Architect solutions using AVEVA's best in class Automation Software to meet the needs of a complex and varied customer mix.
• You will also be called upon to present at group events, workshops and hands on education seminars. Customers will be looking to you to help identify their pains and develop technical solutions.

This is a technical role that has a close relationship to the customer and AVEVA. Understanding the value of this software to the customer’s business is critical. The emphasis is on solutions that improve the customer’s quality, efficiency, flexibility and more. In short we help our customer’s be more competitive.

Experience and Skills:

What Experience is Required to be successful as a Product Specialist at AVEVA Select California?

• Experience with software development or software sales with a technical/engineering background.
• PLC knowledge is very helpful, as is controls or electrical experience with power/motors/sensors/robotics.
Existing Wonderware knowledge is preferred
• - System Platform/Historian/MES/Reporting/InTouch
• Understanding of industrial communication to industrial devices such as PLCs/RTUs/VFDs/Meters/Controllers
• Existing software skills in SQL or C# are very useful as is experience with industrial programming environments
• Background in security concepts such as Active Directory or LDAP
• Familiar with virtualization environments and able to explain virtualization scenarios
Familiar with basic networking
• - switches/routers/rings/Vlan/Fiber
• Bonus for experience with Raspberry PI/Arduino/Windows/IOT Devices

This is a base salary bonus position.

Total Annual Compensation: $85,000-$100,000
