Kimpton Printing and Specialties is a printing and design company specializing in all types of print media. We offer a fun, laid back work environment where you can develop your skills and enhance your creativity.

The Graphic Designer/T-Shirt Designer role will develop the overall layout and production design for all printed apparel material. This would be recreating artworkk from photos, references, t-shirt designs, school spirit wear, company apparel, etc.

This role also will include some digital printing and prepress production set up which includes, but is not limited to large format graphics, brochures, business cards, postcards, flyers, labels, etc. Work involves creating original artwork and also prepping customer supplied graphics for production using Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop and InDesign used occasionally.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with clients to go over projects and proofs through email and in-person.
• Design a variety of project types ranging from logos, signage, banners, print collateral and apparel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem solver.
• Creativity to create custom graphics.
• Prep press files for production.
• Collaborate with press technicians to achieve seamless workflow.
• Produce cut vinyl, weed and mask.
• Maintain organized file database.

Qualifications:

• Must have a strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator. Other Adobe Creative Suite knowledge, such as Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat is a great plus.
• Any screen-printing knowledge and background. (Printing film, color seperation, etc.).
• A strong portfolio of past projects.
• Understanding of file prep and pre-press/production work. (Vector art, art recreation, digital print specs, bleeds, crop marks, etc.).

Additional skills that would be helpful in this position:

• Customer service skills a plus.
• Experience with small scale/wide-format printers.
