Production Assistant jobs in Gainesville, FL

Leading thermal transfer barcode label production facility located in Ocala FL in search of “production assistant” to review, proof, produce and ship barcode label orders. Our ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with thermal transfer printers such as Printronix, Zebra, DataMax, Honeywell or other brands. Have a basic knowledge of label printing software, have strong communication and organizational skills, be proficient in Microsoft office and understanding of ecommerce order processing and fulfilment. Again, this is our “ideal” candidate but we will train the right person.

Once trained, your responsibilities will include:

• Receive and audit label orders for production
• Produce orders on thermal transfer printers and scan for quality
• Pack and ship orders via UPS or Fed Ex web portals
• Assist vendors in placing orders online when necessary
• Maintain inventory on printing supplies
• Clean & maintain thermal transfer printers and production area

Required Skills:

• Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised
• Basic knowledge of cloud-based systems and email procedures
• Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
• Proficient working with MS Office or Google Docs
• Prioritization and time management
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• High School degree or equivalent
