Job description:

Farmented Foods is a Kalispell-based company specializing in delicious fermented products. We are dedicated to crafting high-quality, healthy foods for our local community. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the production, packaging, and shipment of our high-quality fermented goods.

Responsibilities:

Assist in food processing tasks such as cleaning, chopping, and mixing vegetables

Jar and label products according to specifications

Prepare shipments for delivery

Maintain a clean and organized commercial kitchen

Assist with inventory management

Additional duties as assigned

Schedule:

The schedule for this position varies based on production demands. On average, you can expect to work 10-15 hours per week. You must be available on Mondays for shipments and have flexibility on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays for production needs (7-hour shift).

Additional Hours Opportunity:

During the summer months, you have the opportunity to work more hours with our booth at the Kalispell Farmers’ Market. This typically runs from May 4th to October 12th, with the market held on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Setup and manning of the booth on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm (setup begins at 8:00 am)

Flexibility to work either the first or second half of the summer market season or occasional skips, as needed. Working the Farmers' Market is not a requirement of this position,

Requirements:

Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local deliveries when needed

No prior experience required, on-the-job training provided

$15/hour starting wage with opportunities for raises based on performance

Potential for advancement to Production Manager role with increased pay and responsibilities
