Summary Assist in the development, promotion and implementation of all marketing and advertisement campaigns for library. Including, but not limited to writing press releases, copywriting, web development, design/dissemination of digital/print marketing materials and creation/design of materials to market library’s brand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Administration:

• Assist in developing and managing a social media presence for the Library. This includes web development, using Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms relevant to target audiences.
• Participate in media buying and planning as necessary to help promote Library programs.
• Handle media requests on behalf of the Library for Library Director and Library Staff.
• Creates and disseminates e-newsletters covering various topics to library users who elect to receive them using Savannah in collaboration with Library staff.
• Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of current media campaigns and makes recommendations for improvements.

Continuing Education and Training:

Attend and participate in appropriate professional and community meetings, workshops and training sessions. With the Marketing Director, assists in promoting library’s brand, programs, services and collections.

• Proven web development and experience
• Strong photography, editing and design skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be a proven self – starter and have the ability to work independently
• Must be flexible and adaptable

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience.
