Production Control Clerk jobs in Clarksville, TN

Bridgestone Metalpha U.S.A., Inc. – a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, the world’s largest tire and rubber company; provides steel cord for the production of Bridgestone/Firestone tires is seeking highly skilled and motivated Production Team Members for its Clarksville, TN location. The production team member will manufacture steel wire to customer specifications while following safety and standard operating procedures of the company.

• Performs job duties in a safe manner to prevent accidents and injury to self and others, and to prevent damage to equipment, products, facility and the environment
• Work cooperatively and effectively with others towards the attainment of team goals and objectives
• Recognize and analyze work related issues and use available resources to evaluate and recommend potential solutions
• Perform quality checks and records results to ensure the highest level of quality
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the performance of assigned duties
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Required to frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs but occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Other duties as assigned by Coach

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be 18 years or older
• National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) / Work Keys assessment required in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information (see your local Career Center for assessment administration).
• 2 years or more continuous work experience; manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to compute and interpret math calculations, documents, and safety rules
• Ability to drive the company’s vision, safety, and quality requirements
• Communicate well, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to solve problems and work cooperatively with all team members within the organization
