Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Production Control Supervisor plans and schedules work through manufacturing work centers to meet the on-time delivery schedule and cost target commitments. This person is responsible for maintaining, reporting and Production schedules. This includes but is not limited to capacity and manpower planning to ensure that bottlenecks are prevented or minimized and that workflows through all manufacturing departments as effectively as possible. This position will interact routinely with multiple levels of management throughout the company. The position reports to the Director of Production Operations.
