Job Summary:

The Production Control Planner is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate coordination of customer requirements and manufacturing schedules in the Production Control department. This role involves communicating with customers and suppliers and monitoring, analyzing, and communicating various reports and schedules with the manufacturing departments to maintain smooth operations and meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:

• Generate shipping schedules and missed shipment reports using multiple sources of data and compiling them in Excel.
• Update customer requirements and schedules promptly within the Mainframe computer system.
• Monitor and revise shipping schedule for missed shipments and quantities and reschedule as needed.
• Address daily inquiries and concerns from customers. Regularly monitor order entry accuracy.
• Coordinate with subcontractors regarding requirements and daily receipts.
• Collaborate with production control manager to prioritize scheduling requirements and generate schedules.

Weekly Tasks:

• Update safety stock quantities and review forecasted quantities vs actual capacities.
• Levelized customer schedules.
• Create schedules for subcontractors to follow.
• Scan customer POs into the computer system.

Monthly Tasks:

• Purge orders from the Mainframe system as needed for data entry accuracy.
• Review Kanban levels and adjust system as necessary.
• Archive old shipping schedules and create new ones.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

• Serve as backup for timekeeping (production labor data) entry, advance shipping notice entry, Customer order entry, and creating shipping bills.
• Schedule expedited shipments.
• Communicate packaging shortages and short shipments to customers promptly.
• Conduct part counts and investigations as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in supply chain coordination or related roles preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft/Google Office applications with a strong focus on Excel/Sheets.
• Basic understanding of ERP systems and databases preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in working independently and striving for ongoing improvements in processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
