Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. POSITION SUMMARY
Manage production schedule for entire plant, based on standard times provided by each department. Track incoming shipments from Japan (via Ocean or Air) and ensure parts arrive in time for use. Assign necessary paperwork to jobs for tracking purposes (travelers, parts pick lists, assembly checkbooks, etc.) Notify traffic department when a machine has been completed to assist in scheduling pickup.
