Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Supports the overall production team as they drive production to the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
· This position is responsible for allocation of inventory for raw and finished products, in addition to the continuous supply of product to the production line.
· Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP, PPE, Safety, SQF, HACCP and Sanitation guidelines and processes.
· Write production reports based on data compiled from ERP systems, orders, and data provided from Managers.
· Maintain inventory levels to ensure productivity is on track.
· Will work with consistent speed and accuracy, ensuring that production requirements and standards are met.
· This role requires effective communication skills in both written and verbal form, with an ability to understand when to escalate issues to Management as needed.
· Will maintain all administrative tasks associated within Thrive Foods production. The Production clerk will verify the workloads of each production line or batch, while working with various teams. Verify data for accuracy, errors and thoroughness as needed in production logs and documents.
· Must maintain safety standards and assist in writing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures. Demonstrate a positive work approach and professionalism and maintain awareness and take on elevated tasks when the lead is not available.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
· The ability to remain efficient in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong teamwork.
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite programs and computer systems.
· Strong understanding of Freeze-Dried processes, including GMP’s, Safety Guidelines, HACCP, Sanitation guidelines and processes.
· Basic math skills.
· Strong communication skills and an ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Reliable and punctual for assigned shift or task.
· One year of relevant experience in a production environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:
· Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity.
· 50% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 40% or more standing.
· The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment.
· Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 50 lbs. is required.
