Position Description

The Production Control team is responsible for shipping and receiving, raw material inventory, issuing raw material, and picking-up and delivering Aerospace parts. We are currently seeking an experienced shipping and receiving/material specialist to join our team.

Position Responsibilities

• Packaging of large hard metal assemblies.
• Preparing shipping manifests, exports, and MRP tracking.
• Communicates with transportation companies to preclude delays in transit.
• Arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival. 
• Inspects products for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications. 
•  Familiar with Fed Ex and UPS ship worldwide. 
• Communicates with Transportation Company to preclude delays in transit. 
• Arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival. 
• Inspects products for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications. 
• Use the computer to generate part labels. 
• Receives and signs for deliveries. 
• Receive into inventory material and details. 
• Part and supply transport between plants. 
• Load and unload product as needed. 
• Forklift driving required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong organizational skills. 
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
• Knowledge of manufacturing process. 
• Ability to handle extreme shipping deadlines to ensure parts are shipped on time. 
• Flexible schedule and willing to work overtime. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels. 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer and MRP systems.

Education and Experience 

• 3 plus years of shipping and receiving experience. 
•  Forklift operator experience preferred 
• Valid Washington State driver license.

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry: Regularly: Up to 25 lbs
• Occasionally: Up to 50 lbs
• Lifting assistance required: Over 50 lbs
