Production Control Clerk performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Production Clerk role within our manufacturing plants supports our overall production team as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. This position requires work exposure in multiple areas in our refrigerated production environment. Specifically, this role is responsible for the allocation of inventory for raw and finished products, in addition to the continuous supply of product to the production line.
What you will Do:
· Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, SQF, HACCP, Sanitation guidelines and processes.
· Maintain an uninterrupted flow of product, understand product specifications and adherence to production schedule
· Calculate yields, and Modified OEE and visual checks of defect, FO’s, size, color, quality, etc. and visual checks of lot numbers, code dates to reflect corresponding work orders.
· Print identification tag (license plate) and match code dates, lot numbers, etc.
· Dispense raw product in bin, feeding the conveyor (20lbs-30lbs).
· Move 300lbs-1500lbs of: boxes/ finished goods / raw goods, using a pallet jack
· Repetitive motions including bending / lifting/ pushing/ pulling of: boxes/ finished goods / raw goods, using a pallet jack (30lbs-35/50lbs)
· Understand DSI Scanner Functions to allocate inventory to various production work orders.
· Knowledge & understanding of how to maintain a safe work environment, maintain a clean work area, works safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment and report all accidents and safety concerns to Department Leadership immediately.
· Communicate verbally & in writing to complete required documentation.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
