    The Production Control Supervisor plans and schedules work through manufacturing work centers to meet the on-time delivery schedule and cost target commitments. This person is responsible for maintaining, reporting and Production schedules. This includes but is not limited to capacity and manpower planning to ensure that bottlenecks are prevented or minimized and that workflows through all manufacturing departments as effectively as possible. This position will interact routinely with multiple levels of management throughout the company. The position reports to the Director of Production Operations.

    Responsibilities

    Typical Duties include but are not limited to the following:

    • Planning, implementing, monitoring, troubleshooting, adjusting, publishing, and communicating production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all customer orders
    • Expediting and prioritizing work orders and coordinating and facilitating weekly production schedule meetings
    • Analyzing production demands with respect to capacity planning and material requirements to ensure ability to effectively allocate and schedule parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow to meet the demands of the sales orders
    • Examining, improving, streamlining, and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency of subordinate’s work processes
    • Interfacing (collaborating, troubleshooting, reporting, and partnering) with Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Material Control personnel (and key personnel in other functional organizations, as required) on material status and production planning issues
    • Performing the management duties of department budgeting
    • Planning, assigning, directing, and monitoring work
    • And any other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience/Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
    • 4 years of direct experience in Production Control
    • 4 years related experience involving the development of Integrated Master Schedules, MRP, and Supply Chain Management
    • 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
    • Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication skills are a must, both written and oral
    • Microsoft Excel and Project proficiency

    • Previous experience with Deltek Costpoint
