Purpose of Position:
The Aviation Production Control Supervisor provides daily oversight of all functional and operational activities in maintenance of facilities, equipment, and machinery. Ensures all maintenance functions are conducted in accordance with appropriate safety directives, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals.
This role is full time in Muscles Shoals Alabama Northwest Regional Airport supporting the installation of UH-60/CH-47 Maintenance Work Order (MWO) programs.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential):
· Ensure maximum efficient operations of facilities, equipment, and machinery through the direction of a technical support staff.
· Coordinate the flow of maintenance and supervise maintenance status reporting.
· Recommend equipment modification for upgrades.
· Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
· Assign and coordinate the work of maintenance staff and vendors.
· Review and implement all mechanical specifications and manuals for current operations.
· Coordinate specifications and procurement of capital expenditures.
· Responsible for installation of equipment, preventative maintenance, and facility/equipment repair to support manufacturing.
· Establish and track progress toward meeting the goals and objectives of process improvement procedures.
· Ensure all direct reports and maintenance employees receive job and safety training. Recommend and initiate personnel actions.
· Management and coordination of work.
· Coordination with other activities across the local site.
· Support Program Management and Site Supervision as requested.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Active Security Clearance – Secret or higher
· High School Graduate or GED
· Documented training (by validation of qualifying factors to include documented prior military experience and training) on the MDS UH-60 or CH-47 series.
· Five (5) years of Production Control experience on the MDS UH-60 or CH-47 series system.
· Knowledge of military publications including electronic logbooks, manuals, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics is mandatory.
· Valid driver’s license required.
Desirable:
· Bachelor’s degree.
· FAA A&P license. Must be current and documented.
Physical Factors
· Must climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
