Production Control Director jobs in Huntington, NY

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Production Control Planner, to work for one of our clients, an electronics manufacturer, located in Melville, NY.

This is a permanent, full-time job.

In this role you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating materials between departments.

The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience in material control dispatching and/or expediting in an electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing plant, as well as ERP/MRP experience and strong knowledge of work schedules, bill of material and receiving reports.

RF/Microwave knowledge strongly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments.
• Create manufacturing order schedule and purchase requisitions for assigned projects using MRP.
• Release kits to production floor with proper travelers, operation sheets and documentation.
• Track and monitor purchased material for assigned projects.
• Coordinating schedule with PM, Production, Test, and Quality.
• Perform complex expediting and record keeping functions with current information on the location and progress of manufactured parts and assemblies.
• Report and resolve any problems or difficulties impacting the on-time delivery of jobs.
• Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
• Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports and status and location of materials.
• Move or transport material from one department to another.
• Expedite material to assure delivery and availability of material by due date.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
