Production Control Director jobs in Springfield, MA

I have recently been in touch with the senior leadership of a seafood manufacturer in the New Bedford, MA area. They have been in business for 3 generations and counting as a local processor, with SQF certification they assure their customers that they are a “best in class” supplier. They are currently seeking a Plant Manager, to help oversee their manufacturing facility. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, responsible for manufacturing, efficiency, inventory, safety, maintenance, transportation, capital projects. Assessing needs and helping to achieve company and facility goals by developing processes and standards to increase efficacies, setting high quality standard, and ensuring the facility runs smoothly. They are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude and is willing to be cross trained in other areas of the business. They have a young culture as well so they need someone who has the ability to coach/ train the newer team members.

They have an excellent group of tenured employees that are more like family than employees. This is a key role within the company’s management team, making final decisions to help with the continued growth and maximize profitability for the plant.

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in Plant Management within Food & Beverage industry. Seafood a plus.

Bachelors degree in Business, Manufacturing or similar field.

Ability to coach, train team members.

Lean Manufacturing Experience.

The ideal candidate has a leadership mindset, great communication, and drive.
