What will I do as an Infection Prevention/Employee Health Nurse?
The Diretcor of Education/Infection Preventionist will report to the Director of Nursing and consult to all departments in the facility, in recognition of the fact that an effective infection prevention and control program necessitates the cooperation of the entire staff.
Qualifications • Currently registered as a professional nurse in the State of New York. • Bachelor's Degree desirable • Previous teaching and supervisor experience required. • Demonstrates advanced leadership and managerial ability • Able to work effectively with others • Knowledgeable concerning geriatric nursing and rehabilitation • Membership and participation in professional organizations is encouraged.
