QUALIFICATIONS:

Good understanding of production schedules from customer to production build in order to meet the established Just In Time (J.I.T.) delivery schedule. Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous Production Control and supervision experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage production schedule to fulfill current or forecasted orders for manufactured parts or products.
• Manage inventory of materials, parts and finished product to maintain required supply.
• Plan for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts.
• Direct the activities of the production inventory control staff.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise during the production process and work with the appropriate department to resolve the issue.
• Communicate all relative issues within department.
• Monitor Ki plan as production needs are affected.
• Monitor manpower and department overtime.
• Monitor EDI activities as production needs are affected.
• Report ship and build totals to the Production Control Manager.
• Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
• Set up and support company training policies.
• Ensure customer requirements are being fulfilled.
• Ensure safe operations.
• Report ship and build totals to the Quality Control department.
• Monitor HMIN portal for DTR activity and assign issues.
• Trouble shoot and correct/follow up on and QAD/PC issues.
• Audit negative inventory and work with Material Service to resolve.
• Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
• Assist with the maintenance of the China Compulsory certification (CCC) system.
• Administer performance reviews.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Requires the ability use and apply knowledge of manufacturing processes.
