Production Control Manager manages the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization. Oversees scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and materials effectively. Being a Production Control Manager establishes monitoring tools and processes to identify and plan for problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operations. Recommends improvements to production technology and processes. Additionally, Production Control Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning methodologies and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     SUMMARY

    The Production Manager directs the site manufacturing, tooling and maintenance operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors. The position ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, machines and facility(s).

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Direct all operational activities to ensure that the trained resources and proper processes are in place to deliver best in class services and solutions

    · Achieve financial sustainability during the manufacture of existing products and the development of new opportunities.

    · Champion and communicate the vision and mission for the site(s) that focus and empowers employees to meet and exceed expectations for our customers, fellow employees and senior management

    · Meet regularly with the leadership team(s) to discuss business operations, including customer needs, employee issues, equipment availability, and new business strategies.

    · Maintain a work environment that promotes safety on a daily basis

    · Ability to work in and lead a Matrix organization in support of the organizations goals

    · Monitor and maintain continuous improvement activity and environmental reporting.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This role is responsible for the overall supervision of the operations manufacturing, and maintenance to support the achievement of the Company’s financial, customer satisfaction and employee fulfillment goals.

    Requirements:

    EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE

    This position requires a four year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or a minimum of ten years of experience in a manufacturing organization; a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred.
