Production Control Manager manages the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization.     Scope: The Production Control Manager is responsible for preparing and updating the master production schedule for the entire facility. This includes responsibility for using the Paradigm MRP system to schedule steady product flow through the shop, ensuring the schedule meets the business objectives and revenue goals and is achievable by the operations organization. In addition, the PC Manager is responsible for monitoring the performance of the operations team and highlighting to operations leader areas that are not meeting expectations so that correction actions may be taken in a timely fashion and customer delivery schedules are met. Leads/coordinates the daily production meetings, the weekly forecast review meeting and communicates product status to Sales.
    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Work with Operations Management to develop a master production schedule that meets the business objectives (Revenue Plan) while ensuring the schedule is achievable, utilizing the Paradigm MRP system.
    • Communicate all issues with products or shortages to Operations Management and/or purchasing as appropriate.
    • Responsible for the timely release of manufacturing orders to production in accordance with the Master production schedule.
    • Responsible for the accuracy and timely closeout of manufacturing orders.
    • Responsible for the rescheduling of orders based on the material requirements planning system recommendations.
    • Review and approve the issue of material used for the rework or repair of products in production.
    • Report status of planned and released orders.
    • Expedite shortages preventing the scheduled release of orders to production.
    • Work with inventory control and inspection as required to support production schedule.
    • Maintain manufacturing orders such as restarts, RMAs, split orders and order closeout.
    • Support continuous process improvement activities in support of department goals and objectives.
    • May coordinate Bills of Material and flow of materials prior to production.
    • Responsible for the integrity of data for all assigned manufacturing orders such as quantities, lots sizes etc.
    • Responsible for the reconciliation of order variance during all work in progress physical inventories.
    • Work closely with IT department to maintain and upgrade MRP system.
    • Work closely with Sales to listen to and understand customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action that exceeds expectation.

    Essential Knowledge and Skills:
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with automated planning systems
    • Familiarity with the MRP planning process.
    • Strong computer skills with solid background in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
    • Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
    • Must have the ability to work across functional areas.
    • Must have the ability to interface with multiple levels in the business including General Manager.
    Education and Experience:
    Education: Associate's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or related field
    Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

    Experience: 5 or more years of relevant experience. Previous production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
    Preferred Experience: Previous management experience in PCB industry or manufacturing desired. Previous experience with electronic manufacturing resource planning systems is preferred.

    Teammates in this position start at an annual salary between $72,000 - $96,000 depending on experience.
