Scout Boats is looking to hire a Production Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well versed in marine engineering practices, including but not limited to the production environment. This person must be self-motivated, a team player, and knowledgeable about boatbuilding
Daily Tasks
• Support the shop floor as necessary
• Create and revise technical drawings and work instructions
• Detail design using Rhino 3D and Autocad
• Assist in development of new product as needed
• Help to maintain an accurate bill of materials
• Work with the team to solve problems using a pragmatic approach to boatbuilding
Requirements:
• Competence with Rhino 3D, Autocad 2D, and Microsoft Excel
• General knowledge of
- Composites and structural design (ie fabric and resin systems)
- Electrical systems (12 VDC and 120/240 VAC)
- Plumbing design
• Strong problem solving skills
• Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques/ practices
Schedule
This position works Monday – Thursday 7 AM- 5 PM, and Friday 7 AM- 1 PM or as needed to complete tasks. Must be able to work overtime if needed.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening upon hire.
