Are you looking for your next challenge? We are adding a role to our Tyee Operations to support our growth! As our Production Buyer:, you shall be responsible for the procurement of Production Services, related to work orders, to meet production goals. You will be coordinating these services with the Warehouse, Operations and Scheduling Teams to ensure timely movement of parts in and out of the facility. The Production Buyer will create and leverage tools and processes to establish and maintain smooth production flow, while meeting schedule needs and budget.

What you will be doing:

• Research and engage alternative vendors who are approved to complete the required services to spec.

• Evaluate supplier information and analyze quotes to engage optimal vendors based on best total value and lead times for services required.

• Place purchase orders with suppliers accurately and in a timely manner.

• Work with the Accounting team to resolve invoice discrepancies during the invoice approval process.

• Assist in providing Production Control coverage when required.

• Coordinate with materials team, management and production areas as required.

• Ensure shortage risks are effectively communicated to production and management teams.

• Follow requirements for PPV and provide justification as necessary.
