The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and machinery and developing and executing maintenance plans to minimize downtime and disruptions. The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Maintenance Head of Section and work closely with the production teams, management, and suppliers to achieve organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain engineering documents such as Work Standards, Control Plans, PFMEA, Work Instructions
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and develop and execute maintenance plan to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Analyze data to identify trends, diagnose problems and develop solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with production teams, management, and suppliers to develop and execute maintenance plans that meet organizational goals and priorities.
- Ensure that those conducting maintenance activities follow safety standards and regulations and identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and procedures to support maintenance activities.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ensure product and process quality meets the specifications required.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning the production process, logistics flow and equipment layout.
- Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
- Implement continuous improvement activities for ongoing scrap reduction, cycle time reduction and downtime reduction.
- Ensures adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting
- Generate and execute improvement ideas for cost reduction, labor savings, material flow optimization and safety.
- Communicate with relevant departments to resolve any issues that arise in the plant.
- Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.
- Review of process machine/process tooling specifications and confirmation of manufacturing specifications.
- Comply with the Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
- Minimum two years of production maintenance engineering in the automotive industry
- 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD/CATIA) proficiency
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Good knowledge of Robotics, PLC, and VFDs
- Some knowledge of (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance.
- Good knowledge of Auto CAD and SAP part of Maintenance
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, passionate about problem-solving with the ability to assemble a team of internal experts to provide solutions to customer challenges that will deliver value to the customer
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
