Production Engineering Manager manages the planning and designing of methods to improve or enhance existing programs. Oversees the analysis and review of budgets, schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources. Being a Production Engineering Manager develops and recommends revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production requirements. Ensures projects are completed on time. Additionally, Production Engineering Manager acts as advisor to production engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. MISSION: The Production Manager works closely with the Director of Product Advancement and Technology Initiatives to ensure product delivery dates are met. With direct responsibility for the manufacturing floor and material handling area, this individual coordinates the efforts of assembly, test, purchasing, logistics, and inventory staff to meet customer requirements and delivery dates. With an eye for continuous improvement and efficiency, the Production Manager works side by side with production staff to streamline processes while working within the bounds of NuWaves' quality management system and compliance requirements. This individual must be able to work at all levels in the company, communicating successfully with project managers, staff, engineers, directors, and more. Experience working in the DoD industry, with circuit card assemblies, and within CostPoint ERP system is desired.
YEAR 1 ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Lead the Production Team effectively to meet on-time delivery and quality objectives. KPIs consist of Inventory Accuracy, First Pass Yield, Manufacturing and Logistics Escapes, and Vendor Performance.
2. Recruit, develop, and retain A-Player talent within the Production Team in order to meet company objectives.
3. Establish credibility with team-members by following through on commitments and understanding the company.
Desired Experience: 2-5 years manufacturing or logistics background, preferably in DoD industry.
Salary Range: $60K - $80K annually
