Diamond Engineering is a manufacturing company who produces antenna measurement systems. We are a very niche company located in Diamond Springs who has been in business for over 20 years. We manufacture high quality precision test equipment in small runs- we are not an assembly line manufacturing facility. We seek to immediately hire a motivated individual with a solid work ethic to assist in assembly process. CAD experience with modeling or drawing of basic parts and fixtures is a huge plus.

Manufacturing Production Technician
$25 - $35 / Hour

Ideal candidates should consider themselves to be electronically and technically inclined. You should have an overall interest in learning engineering related topics (mechanical, electrical, technical and/or digital).

Typical Duties
You will assemble products and subassemblies as detailed in our build documentation. The ability to pay close attention to these details is of paramount importance. These tasks will include things like:

• Electronic / wire harness assembly (cutting, crimping, soldering, etc.)
• Building structural elements with machined parts
• Part finishing (deburring, cleanup)
• Materials prep (rough cutting, etc.)
• Product testing / burn-in (electrical and mechanical)

Other tasks might include things like:

• Part inventory / restocking
• Updating or assisting to create BOMs (Build Of Materials)
• Cleaning up workshop to ensure a well-maintained workspace
• Maintaining 3D printer productivity

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma / GED
• 2 years in a manufacturing or assembly environment with working knowledge of various hand tools, power tools, fasteners and common materials
• Some soldering or electronic design experience
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions laid out in basic mechanical and assembly drawings / diagrams
• General computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Comprehension of basic measurements (inches and millimeters, fractional and decimal)

BONUS Skills and Experience

• 2 year degree, technical school graduate or equivalent experience
• CAD / CAM experience (Autodesk Fusion/Inventor or AutoCAD)
• Experience with using a manual milling machine and/or lathe
• Experience with basic electronics component operation (switches, resistors, LED's)
• Can use and understand a multi-meter
• Motion control / automation / stepper motor experience
• Any RF / microwave experience
• Software development experience (Python, C , Arduino, LabView, VEE)
• Experience creating (or assisting in the process of) developing product documentation such as users manuals, datasheets, etc.
