Job Title: Production Operator

Reports to: Production Manager

Responsibilities:

The production operator performs manufacturing activities in a unionized, industrial production environment. The production operator will operate machine processes and/or use hand-work methods in the production of products within the area to which they are assigned (precision cut, clean room, or bagging area, etc.). This position includes shift work.

Education Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to work in a factory environment and follow detailed work instructions. Must be able to stand for long periods.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment used in the production processes, Saws
• Examine products to ensure compliance to company and quality standards
• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify supervisors immediately of any malfunctions
• May load and unload items from machines
• May lift raw materials, finished products and packed items
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• May cross-train in various processes
• Must be able to document work details at time of work.
• Mechanically inclined – working with machines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
