Operations Supervisor

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of a Colocation Data Center business, including infrastructure management within the building. This role involves collaborating closely with the leadership of Property Management and Data Center Operations teams.

Responsibilities include:

Staffing:

• Train and manage MMR technical support personnel.
• Coordinate team availability and task delegation to meet deadlines.

Provisioning:

• Manage customer installations and power turn-ups within specified timelines.
• Install or coordinate homeruns between customer areas and the Meet Me Room (MMR).
• Maintain rack conditions and cable management in customer environments.

Customer Service:

• Implement ticketing/work order systems and quality checks for customer equipment.
• Supervise installation contractors to ensure compliance with building guidelines.
• Oversee technical support services, troubleshooting, and equipment deployments.

Capacity Management:

• Implement asset inventory management practices and maintain inventory records.
• Track power allocation/utilization and provide feedback to the sales team.
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and logs.

Security:

• Establish security protocols and monitor access systems for facility security.

Disaster Recovery:

• Uphold disaster recovery plans and coordinate execution during emergencies.

Standards and Compliance:

• Maintain industry certifications and compliance requirements.

Energy Efficiency:

• Recommend and implement energy-saving measures.

Sales Support:

• Assist sales teams with inquiries, site tours, and contract terms.

Budgeting and Accounting:

• Assist with annual budgets, vendor invoices, and financial reporting.

Capital Projects:

• Assist with planning and implementing new data center spaces and infrastructure additions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3 years' experience in telecommunications or colocation facility management.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications industry and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with power systems, fiber optic cables, and HVAC equipment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and budget management.
• Self-motivated and ethical with a track record of accomplishments.
