Production Manager manages operations of production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. Being a Production Manager monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements. Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Additionally, Production Manager ensures that staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations. Coaches teams in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve escalated issues and problems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are currently seeking a skilled Automotive Production Manager to lead our Collision Center operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production within the Collision Center, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality repairs, and exceptional customer service.     Key Responsibilities

    • Manage daily operations of the Collision Center, including workflow planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production goals.
    • Coordinate with estimators, technicians, and parts department to ensure timely completion of repairs and efficient utilization of resources.
    • Oversee quality control processes to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
    • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.
    • Train, mentor, and supervise production staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, repair quality, and customer satisfaction, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Collaborate with insurance companies and adjusters to facilitate smooth claims processing and resolution.
    • Maintain inventory of parts and materials, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely availability.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
    • Minimum of two years of experience in automotive repair, with at least three years in a management or supervisory role within a collision repair facility.
    • Strong technical knowledge of automotive repair processes and procedures.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
    • Proficiency in collision repair estimation software and automotive shop management systems.
    • Knowledge of insurance industry practices and procedures related to collision repair.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
    • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
    • I-CAR or ASE certifications a plus
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
