Production Manager manages operations of production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. Being a Production Manager monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements. Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Additionally, Production Manager ensures that staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations. Coaches teams in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve escalated issues and problems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and inventory targets.

    Create efficient production schedules, considering machine capacity, Client, and material availability.

    Coordinate and optimize the use of equipment, materials, and personnel to achieve production goals.

    Work closely with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

    Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations.

    Implement and monitor quality assurance processes throughout the production cycle.

    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity.

    Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

    Monitor and control production costs to align with budgetary constraints.

    Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

    Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination across the organization.

    Communicate production status, issues, and achievements to upper management.

    Requirements:

    Previous experience in a supervisory role in a production or food manufacturing environment, 2 years minimum.

    Strong knowledge of basic math and the ability to use Google Sheets.

    Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

    Experience leading a team of 4 to 6 direct reports responsible for 15 to 20 total staff.

    Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
